What Is an Angiofibroma?
An angiofibroma Nottinghamshire is a benign growth containing fibrous tissue and small blood vessels. One type, known as a fibrous papule, commonly appears on or around the nose. It usually feels firm and may be pink, red or close to your natural skin colour. Tiny blood vessels can sometimes be visible on its surface.
Although these growths are generally harmless, they can be concerning, especially when they appear in a noticeable spot on the face.
One important thing to remember, though: a bump that looks like an angiofibroma Nottinghamshire isn’t necessarily one. Moles and other skin conditions, including basal cell carcinoma, can look similar. A proper assessment matters before considering any removal procedure. [1]
If you notice a new growth, or an existing one is getting bigger, changing colour, bleeding repeatedly, becoming painful, or persistently itchy, speak to your GP before arranging cosmetic treatment. These changes don’t automatically mean something serious is wrong, but you shouldn’t ignore them. [2]
